Furnitureworks moves forward again with the purchase of a vacuum forming system. This will allow the production of curved panels.

Furnitureworks latest acquisition is a unique vacuum forming system.  This incredible system allows the production of curved ply wood shapes.  So far we have made many components like chair backs and seat bases.  It will form curves up to 180 degrees.  The system is big enough to make parts up to 2m long with ease.  The system relies on the natural air pressure all around us, to apply several tons of pressure to the parts and form them.  This is done by placing a former under the part.
